CafeConnects is a social discovery platform operated by CafeConnects Private Limited, a company incorporated in Bangalore, India. The platform helps users discover and connect with people who share common interests while physically present at partner cafés in Bangalore.
CafeConnects is explicitly not a dating app. It is designed for building friendships, professional connections, and community — not for romantic solicitation or dating.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use CafeConnects. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:
You must create an account to use CafeConnects. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account. You must not create multiple accounts, share your account, or impersonate another person.
Identity verification is mandatory for all users before their first poke. You must provide a valid government-issued ID for verification. Providing false identification is grounds for immediate permanent ban and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent ban, at our sole discretion.
The poke system is designed for low-pressure social signaling. By sending a poke, you are expressing friendly interest in another user. Pokes are never to be used as a tool for harassment or unsolicited romantic advance. Users may ignore pokes without explanation. Repeated pokes after a user has blocked you is prohibited and may result in account termination.
By granting location permissions, you consent to your real-time location being used for proximity matching while the app is open. You understand that: (i) your location is never stored permanently; (ii) only a café identifier (not precise coordinates) is recorded at the time of a match; (iii) you can revoke location permission at any time, which will disable proximity features.

You retain ownership of content you post on CafeConnects (profile bio, photos, chat messages). By posting content, you grant CafeConnects a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.
You are responsible for all content you post. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Standards.
CafeConnects offers a Premium subscription (₹99/month). Subscriptions are billed monthly and auto-renew. You may cancel at any time via Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refund is provided for partial months. Please see our Refund Policy for details.
CafeConnects is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times, error-free, or that any connection made through the platform will lead to a positive outcome. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or offline.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CafeConnects Private Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification and email. Continued use of CafeConnects after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
